On Thursday November 9th I was invited to talk at the Underexposed summit organised by the lovely folks of Simply Secure. My first invitation to speak abroad! In the city center of Berlin a group of design and technology practitioners came together to have hard conversations at the intersection of human-centered thinking, ethics, and computing. This year the event also featured an open evening session for members of the public to join in the conversation.
During this workshop I presented Ethics for Designers and did a breakout session with the Moral Agent ideation game. It was a great experience to meet likeminded people with such diverse backgrounds. I spoke to security researchers, developers, a legal expert and all sorts of designers about the importance of design ethics. Resources and thoughts were exchanged to inspire future get togethers.
